BASIC INFORMATION
NAME Goes by Aysel Riq on the street. A common username that she's known by is "arc_words", thus a lot of people also call her Arc. Her birth name was Kolina Tilki. Her Terran, respectable name that she does all her legal work with is Cate Norni.
AGE 23. She tends to look slightly younger than she is.
BIRTHPLACE Unu III, a colony on a world mostly full of humid jungle. Aysel was born in the capitol city, where the gateway is: Altus.
HEIGHT 5'6"
APPEARANCE Aysel is a chameleon with her wardrobe. She knows how to dress to blend in, and how to seem delicate and feminine and not worth noticing — or how to make people trip over themselves to be helpful. Left to her own devices, she wears very casual clothes with a lot of jewelry. Especially rings. She has a bit of a thing for them. It's rare that she actually gets to wear them, though, since they make her stand out. Aysel also has an implant on her side, virtually undetectable by TCA equipment, that can store small objects, like data chips.
ORIENTATION Pansexual, also known as "anything goes," potentially.

SKILLS
LANGUAGES English (fluent), Mandarin (fluent), French (sketchy).
CODING This is where Aysel's true genius lies, a "demon with a keypad" in the words of her friend Rory. She got in trouble at school for breaking into the 'secure server' during a fit of boredom.
DESIGN/METALLURGY Very good at building things, Aysel's just now starting to get into building her own tech rather than buying everything and Frankensteining it for her own purposes.

HISTORY
Kolina (Aysel) was born to Nila and Vioran Tilki, two more prosperous members of Unu III society. Nila, her mother, was effectively a mobwoman who also ran most of the planet's economy: logging. Comparatively, this put them at lower middle class, while Kolina's friends were from much poorer backgrounds. This was an economy with several other mobs, on its two continents, and when Kolina was eleven her parents were killed in an "accident." Kolina went into hiding. A loyal minion of her parents helped her adopt a new identity, Aysel, and smuggled her off-world and to Earth. It was on Earth that Aysel received most of her education in technology, through saved-up money, but she grew to hate the mother planet. All the friends she'd ever known had struggled to make ends meet, and Earth and its Terra Central Authority government flourished. She met a few contacts that helped her ease into her new career. It turned out that she had a knack for code, and design, and they were eager to put her to work in less than legal ways. Aysel, embracing her background, accepted that this was now her life, as long as she could occasionally make the big guys pay, too.

The second she could escape, seven years later, she went to other worlds — other colonies — and only went back if it meant ripping one of those "rich bastards" off. Her third home became Gravniss, a colony established primarily for ore. But Gravniss had also become a sort of information hub, and a place for trade; it suited Aysel very much. She started off small, at first, but fell in with the wrong people, a gang headed by a man called Janard. They used French, primarily, to communicate, and wanted to use Aysel for a variety of different tasks. She was given an implant in her side that was a small storage chamber — just large enough for data chips. Aysel protested, as she wanted to be behind the scenes instead of being used as a data mule, but she was forced to undergo the surgery. She was part of the gang for two years before a contact, a friend, was able to blackmail her boss into letting her go. Reluctantly, she stayed on Gravniss for the lab she'd set up and for the work that was ripe for the taking if you knew where to look.

But she also set up shop on another colony, Torca Nix, in a smaller way, just so she'd have somewhere to run to if she needed it. Officially, Aysel is a programming consultant, and she has a fancy Earth degree that says as much. Sometimes, she does honest work (and gives her pay to homeless on Gravniss). But most of the time, Aysel makes her way in the worlds by breaking into secure systems and stealing data. She's also, as of late, getting into metallurgy and design, interested in building her own tech. And potentially, weapons. She ferrets a lot of her money away, nest eggs for harder times, except for when she's in a "buying technology" mood.

PERSONALITY
Aysel is friendly, with a goofy sense of humor and a taste for the strange. She has selective patience — while she is a saint for technology, she extends much less patience to other human beings and can get rather pushy if she feels time's being wasted. Despite her natural friendliness, Aysel isn't much for social cons or physical interaction during a job. She gets very nervous, very easily. While quick, she's not strong and isn't much use in a fight aside from holding a weapon (she's a fairly good shot, at least). Her expertise lies in the intellectual, rather than being in the thick of things. When she's at home in her own work, Aysel is careful and methodical; her work is always top notch.

Aside from coding and working with technology, Aysel also loves obscure "old" music and she can be a hipster about it. She has an electric guitar that she loves to play when she has the time.
